Summary
The manufacturing engineer has responsibility for addressing the technical needs of the manufacturing environment such that Cameron Drilling products are manufactured in accordance with the following objectives: conformance to requirements, safety, efficiency, cost effectiveness, timeliness, and error-free performance. Provides technical assistance such that all work can be carried out in accordance with the quality system and such that all products delivered are representative of a high quality standard. Provides technical assistance, which enables a continually improving degree of efficiency, accountability and control in the manufacturing environment. He/she must be able to act independently, perform stress and compression calculations as needed. Periodically perform design engineering specific to plant and product needs. Must be a good team member and work well with others. Safety is a core value of this
position
and he/she must always keep safety at the forefront of his/her job. From time to time, this job will require extended hours. It possibly could require an offshore trip once or twice a year. This position must be willing to work with new manufacturing as well as remanufacturing.
Minimum Job Qualifications
BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OR A RELATED FIELD AND ONE (1) YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR ONE (1) YEAR RELATED EXPERIENCE.
General Requirements:
Identify and coordinate the implementation of manufacturing process improvements by designing and/or sourcing needed manufacturing equipment.
Participate and, when necessary, lead Enterprise Excellence initiatives. Position will have significant involvement with Six Sigma and Enterprise Excellence

.
Ability to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision.
Attention to detail, planning, and organization is essential.
Analytical and problem solving abilities that can be readily demonstrated are prerequisite.
General working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD packages.
Ability to interpret and generate engineering drawings, schematics, and other sources for specifications is essential
